LAWTON, Oklahoma, Dec 12, 2023 — Picogrid, a defense technology startup, signed a letter of intent to open a factory in Oklahoma, with groundwork starting in 2024. This development marks a significant milestone in the company's expansion strategy and commitment to supporting local economies.
The proposed factory, set to be operational in 2025, is expected to bring a substantial number of jobs to the Lawton community. The facility will focus on manufacturing of Lander, Picogrid’s flagship sensor platform. The factory coincides with Picogrid recently securing a $950M Pentagon contract, highlighting the company’s emerging presence as a leading defense technology manufacturer.

Picogrid plans to open the factory at FISTA Innovation Park, an emerging defense manufacturing hub adjacent to Fort Sill, a major U.S. Army base.
