Legion becomes the only dedicated systems integration platform to earn a FedRAMP High ATO, clearing the path for federal agencies across the US government to securely connect sensors, robotics, and software systems.

EL SEGUNDO, CA – March 18, 2026 – Picogrid today announced that its flagship Legion software platform has received a FedRAMP High Authority to Operate (ATO), the U.S. government's most rigorous cybersecurity certification for cloud systems protecting sensitive, unclassified data. The authorization clears Legion for deployment across the federal government, from the Department of War to civilian agencies, in any environment requiring the highest standards of data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Legion is the first and only dedicated systems integration platform to achieve FedRAMP High authorization. Federal agencies operate growing arsenals of sensors, drones, robots, and software systems, often sourced from dozens of different vendors. Getting these systems to share data and work together remains one of the federal government’s most persistent challenges. Legion solves this by functioning as an open data integration layer that sits between systems, translating protocols, normalizing data, and enabling coordinated control without requiring agencies to rip and replace what they already own. The FedRAMP High designation now means agencies can adopt Legion to immediately solve this problem through a cyber-compliant pathway rather than rely on bespoke integrations or waiting years for traditional authorization cycles.

The authorization also extends to Picogrid's Partner Program, a growing ecosystem of more than 75 third-party vendors supplying best-in-class drones, sensors, software, and robotics systems. Federal agencies can now leverage Legion's FedRAMP High baseline to rapidly and securely adopt this hardware and software with significantly less friction. This authorization positions the growing ecosystem to serve federal agencies well beyond defense, bringing proven integration capabilities to any part of the government facing the same interoperability challenges.

"Every federal agency is dealing with the same fundamental problem: they're acquiring more technology than they can integrate," said Zane Mountcastle, co-founder and CEO of Picogrid. "Legion exists to solve that problem, and FedRAMP High means they can now adopt it with confidence that the platform meets the government's most demanding security requirements. We believe this will change how agencies think about connecting their systems and integrating best-in-class technology into their operations."

Picogrid partnered with Palantir to complete the process using Palantir’s FedStart program. Legion is now listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace as part of Palantir’s Federal Cloud Service, making it accessible to federal agencies and their mission partners.
